Nigeria’s Okagbare beats Fraser Pryce over 200m, Jeter seventh

Blessing Okagbare of Nigeria (22.55) ran double Olympic 100m champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce (22.72) into second place Sunday morning over the 200m Birmingham Diamond League in the United Kingdom.
Sherone Simpson of Jamaica (23.34) finished sixth while Carmelita Jeter (23.36) coming off an injury in the Shanghai Diamond League was seventh. Third was Bulgarian Ivet Lalova.
The top billed race of the Diamond League meet was touted as a head to head clash between Fraser-Pryce and Jeter.
