You will recall that all the letters were brought to me by hand. Although both of us discussed some of the issues in those letters, I had not, before now, seen the need for any formal reply since, to me, they contained advice from a former President to a serving President. Obviously, you felt differently because in your last letter, you complained about my not acknowledging or replying your previous letters.

A 13-year-old girl has delivered triplets in the capital city of the Dominican Republic, Santo Domingo. The father of babies is a 61-year-old man who is currently hiding from the police, as he would be charged with sexual abuse of a minor, if caught. In the interview to the local press, the young mother showed no regrets in giving birth to three babies, despite circumstances. She added she was happy with her three sons, naming them Samuel, Joshua and Jovanny. Three baby boys are currently in the intensive care ward of a local hospital, as the births were premature. However, all of them have good chances to survive. ASUU Strike: Why Academic Activities Are Still Low at LASU

The Lagos State University (LASU) shall resume teaching activities after its Senate meets next week to design a new academic calendar, fix a schedule for students to return.   Mr. Sola Fosudo, the Acting Director, Centre for Information, LASU Press and Public Relations Unit, made this known to press in a telephone conversation on December 19, 2013, Thursday. “Technically, the school has resumed since the ASUU strike was suspended , but the senate will be meeting to design the timetable and also choose a date for resumption. “The decision of the Senate will be communicated to all as soon as the meeting is held,” he said. LASU Official spoke as activities remained low in the university’s Ojo Campus, though lecturers were seen around. The Lagos state Commissioner for Transportation, Comrade Kayode Opeifa while speaking at a stakeholders meeting in Lagos yesterday revealed that come 2014 the Lagos state government would be introducing the use of uniforms and badges for commercial bus drivers and conductors.
